Nick Punyamurthy is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rail InfoTech, a premier technology and consulting firm dedicated to driving specialized innovation across the railroad and transit industries. Under his leadership, Rail InfoTech delivers niche products, advanced data analytics, and operational solutions to enterprise clients, including industry giants like CSX Railroad.
Rail InfoTech was spun off in 2025 as a specialized division of CompNova, an enterprise IT and consulting firm Nick founded in 2009. Over nearly two decades, he scaled CompNova from a streamlined, value-driven consulting practice into a massive, multi-state enterprise trusted by some of the largest corporations in the world. Nick’s organizations have achieved a rare operational milestone: remaining highly profitable every single year since inception, maintaining absolute financial stability through even the sharpest economic downturns.
Nick’s executive legacy is defined by agility, elite execution, and a strict balance between long-term strategic vision and daily operational excellence. Under his guidance, his enterprises have earned prestigious national recognition, including being named a "Fast 100" business by the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce, a "Top 500" US business, and a "Top 30 Consulting Company in Texas." A testament to this elite execution, world-class brands like AT&T, Amgen, and Johnson & Johnson consistently rank Nick’s Accolades in their "Top 3" partner tiers, culminating in CompNova’s selection as an exclusive AT&T MEGA Supplier in 2025.
Positioned at the intersection of emerging technology and industrial infrastructure, Nick actively directs Rail InfoTech’s integration of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and advanced Data Analytics to optimize transit networks and scale internal productivity.
Nick holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Bombay University and an MBA from the University of North Texas.
Believing that true leadership extends far beyond corporate profitability, he is deeply dedicated to community investment. Nick actively supports Collin County Community College, Habitat for Humanity, and vital workforce initiatives focused on training and deploying American war veterans.
Centered by a strong foundation, Nick credits his professional endurance and personal success to the incredible love and support of his family—his wife, Yiuling, their son, Naveen, and their daughter, Nina.
